Katori to Grams: How Many Grams in 1 Katori?

There is no single answer to "1 katori kitne gram". A katori measures volume (ml), and grams measure weight. Ice cream, flour and honey fill the same bowl but weigh very differently.

A medium katori of 150 ml holds the following:

KATORI MEASUREMENT GUIDE

Why does 1 katori of atta weigh less than 1 katori of sugar?

Atta is light and airy, so 150 ml weighs only about 80 g. Sugar crystals pack tightly and weigh about 125 g in the same katori. This is the reason a single "1 katori = 150 g" rule gives wrong results.

Atta 80 g 150 ml katori
Sugar 125 g 150 ml katori

Katori to cup and katori to tablespoon

1 medium katori = 150 ml = 0.63 cup = 10 tablespoons

1 cup (240 ml) = 1.6 medium katori

1 cup = about 2.4 small katori or 1.2 large katori

GLASS TO ML GUIDE

Glass to ML: How Many ML in 1 Glass?

A standard Indian steel glass holds about 200 ml. Common sizes are:

Small glass 150 ml
Large glass 250 ml
Tall glass 300 ml

A US drinking glass is defined as 8 fl oz, which is about 237 ml (rounded to 240 ml in this tool). Always check which glass a recipe means. When in doubt, use the glass to ml option in the converter and set your own size in the Calibrate tab.

For liquids like water and milk, 1 ml is close to 1 g. So a 200 ml glass of water weighs about 200 g, and a glass of milk about 206 g.

Tablespoon to ML: How Many ML in 1 Tablespoon?

1 tablespoon = 15 ml (the metric and Indian chamach standard). A US tablespoon is 14.79 ml, which rounds to the same 15 ml. Some countries differ: an Australian tablespoon is 20 ml, so check the recipe's origin.
