Terms & Conditions

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the Services. If you use the Services on behalf of a school, company or other organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for it.

1. Description of Services

FreeConvertZo offers free online tools, including:

PDF tools: merge, split, rotate, crop, delete and reorder pages, compress, convert (JPG, text, HTML, Excel, PPT, ePub, OCR, HEIC, WebP), add page numbers and bookmarks, remove metadata, protect, unlock, sign and fill forms.
Link and QR tools: PDF to Link and PDF to QR Code.
Document tools: invoice generator and certificate/award maker.
Education tools: GPA calculator, weighted grade calculator, citation generator, word count checker, flashcard generator, random group maker, presentation timer, group project splitter and parent communication translator.
Cooking and unit tools: cooking measurement converters, baking and sourdough calculators, and land and other unit converters.

We may add, change, suspend or remove any tool or feature at any time, with or without notice. Some tools run in your browser and some run on our servers, as described in our Privacy Policy.

2. Your Account

Most tools can be used without an account. Some features may require you to register.
You must provide accurate information and keep your password confidential.
You are responsible for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use.
We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these Terms or that are inactive for a long period.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Upload, convert, share or store anything that is illegal, harmful, defamatory, obscene, hateful, or that infringes someone else’s rights, including child sexual abuse material or content that promotes violence or terrorism.
Upload files containing viruses, malware or code intended to damage or disrupt the Services.
Use the Unlock PDF, password-removal or similar tools on files you do not own or do not have permission to access, or to bypass security protections without authorization.
Use the Invoice Generator, Certificate Maker, eSign or any other tool to create fake, forged or misleading documents, or to impersonate a person or organization.
Use the PDF to Link or PDF to QR Code tools to distribute illegal, pirated or malicious content, or to run spam or phishing campaigns.
Scrape, crawl, copy or resell the Services, or use bots or automated scripts to overload or access them, without our written permission.
Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, probe or interfere with our servers, security or other users’ use of the Services.
Enter sensitive personal data of other people (such as student records or government ID numbers) into tools that send data to third-party providers, such as the AI flashcard generator and the translator.
Use the Services in any way that breaks applicable law.

We may remove content, restrict access or report unlawful activity to authorities if we believe these rules are broken.

4. Your Files and Content

You own your content. We do not claim ownership of the files, text or data you upload or enter (“Your Content”).
Limited permission. You give us a limited, temporary permission to process Your Content solely to provide the tool you requested.
Your responsibility. You confirm you have the right to upload and process Your Content and that doing so does not violate any law or third-party right.
Deletion. As explained in our Privacy Policy, files uploaded to our servers for processing are automatically deleted within 1 hour. Files stored for sharing through PDF to Link or PDF to QR Code are kept for [X days / until you delete them].
Keep your own copies. Always keep a backup of your original files. We are not responsible for lost, corrupted or deleted files.
Shared links are public. Anyone who has a shared link or QR code can open the file. You are responsible for who you share it with.

5. Tool Accuracy and Professional Disclaimers

Our tools are provided to help you, but results are automated and may contain errors. Please review all output before you rely on it.

- Conversions (PDF, OCR, Excel, PPT etc.): Formatting, fonts, tables and text recognition may change or be imperfect, especially with scanned or complex files.
- Invoice Generator: Invoices and tax details (including GST) are generated from the information you enter. We do not provide tax, accounting or legal advice. You are responsible for the accuracy and legal compliance of every invoice.
- eSign and PDF Form Filler: Signatures created with our tools may not meet the legal requirements for every document, country or purpose. For contracts that require a certified or regulated electronic signature, use a qualified e-signature provider.
- GPA, grade and word count tools: Results are estimates. Schools, universities and employers may calculate grades differently. Always confirm with your institution.
- Citation Generator: Citations may not perfectly follow the latest edition of any style guide (APA, MLA, Chicago, etc.). Check them against the official style guide before submitting work.
- AI Flashcard Generator and Translator: AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete or biased. Review it before using it. Do not rely on translations for legal, medical, safety or other critical communication without checking them with a qualified person.
- Certificate Maker: Certificates you create are your responsibility. Do not use them to mislead anyone.
- Cooking tools: Measurement conversions are approximate because ingredients vary in density, brand and moisture. Always follow food safety practices and allergy information on your ingredients.
- Unit and land converters: Conversions are for general reference only. Land units vary by region and local definition. Do not use our results as the sole basis for any property sale, purchase, legal or official document. Confirm with official records or a licensed professional.

6. Intellectual Property

The FreeConvertZo name, logo, website design, text, graphics, code and tools (excluding Your Content) are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws.
You may use the Services for your personal or business needs, but you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or create derivative works from our site or tools without written permission.
Files you create with our tools (for example converted PDFs and generated invoices) belong to you, subject to the rights of any third party in the original material.

Copyright complaints

If you believe content on FreeConvertZo, including a file shared through our link tools, infringes your copyright, email us at [your-email@freeconvertzo.com] with: (1) your contact details; (2) a description of the work; (3) the URL of the infringing content; (4) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized; and (5) a statement, made in good faith and accurate, that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner. We will review and, where appropriate, remove the content.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

The Services may use or link to third-party services such as hosting, analytics, advertising, AI and translation providers, and social platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, GitHub, YouTube). We do not control and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their own terms.

We may display advertisements on the site. Ads shown do not mean we endorse the advertiser or their products.

8. Free Service and Availability

FreeConvertZo is provided free of charge. We may introduce usage limits, file size limits or paid features in the future, and we will update these Terms if we do. We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or always available. We may perform maintenance or change features at any time.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last Updated” date above, and for significant changes we will give a more prominent notice. Continuing to use the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

10. General

Entire agreement: These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the complete agreement between you and FreeConvertZo about the Services.
Severability: If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
No waiver: If we do not enforce a right, it does not mean we give it up.
Assignment: You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours as part of a business change.
